Citroën has officially confirmed the development of a new electric model inspired by the original 2CV.
Citroën has officially confirmed that it is developing a new electric model inspired by the legendary 2CV. The announcement was made on 22 May 2026 as part of Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 strategic plan. The new car is meant to carry on the spirit of the original “Deux Chevaux” – not through nostalgia, but by bringing its simplicity and accessibility into today’s world.
